A child who could not read English
Maker 'Boogie English'
When I was in elementary school, a friend called me a fool because I couldn't read an English word written on the blackboard. That single word pierced my heart like a nail, and as I walked home on a scorching summer day, tears streamed down my face. 'Why do I have to be teased like this, just because of English?' I clenched my teeth in sorrow.
Since that day, English has always been a source of fear for me. I was sick and tired of memorizing words for exams, and they constantly tormented me. Then, in high school, I suddenly became curious.
What would it feel like to understand a novel not in translation,
but in its original English version?
Without hesitation, I ran to the library and borrowed the thinnest book, "Magic Tree House," along with the audio CD. Then, as if I were an actor, I began to read the protagonist's lines out loud. Amazingly, the sentences that I couldn't quite understand started to form pictures in my mind, and I began to hear the English sentences.
That small curiosity changed my lifeand became alifelong habit. Itbecame. Even during the tough times serving as a cook in the military, that habit continued. Over two to three years, I started with 'Magic Tree House,' moved on to 'Harry Potter,' and eventually finished reading the original 'Game of Thrones' series.
However, I too have experienced the same pain as you. The pain of 'word searching' that interrupts the flow of reading, the frustration of forgetting words you worked hard to find. Because I understand that frustration better than anyone, I created this project.
Touch Once With A PDF where you can search words, by chapter Audiobook, And Emoji Vocabulary list. All of this comes from a sincere wish that those who, like my past self, were frustrated by the wall of English, can finally experience the joy of finishing a book.
As someone who once cried over English as a child, I have now graduated from the English department and become the CEO of 'Boogie English,' creating English content. I am confident that if you start reading original books with this project, you will have the amazing experience of expanding your world.
