Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Isn't it highly competitive to make a reservation?

- We manage the density of villa subscribers to about 10 people per house, and there is a limit of one weekend or holiday reservation per subscriber per month, allowing for at least one weekend use per month. In addition, new villas are added every month, so reservation competition is significantly lower compared to other resorts or hotel memberships.

Q2. What is the maximum number of guests allowed?

- The maximum capacity varies by villa. We are building villas that can accommodate an average of about six people.

Q3. Are there any restrictions on using weekends or peak seasons?

- To ensure fairness among subscription members, weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, the day before holidays, and holidays) can only be reserved once per month. Only weekends and holidays are restricted; there are no restrictions on weekdays during peak season.

Q4. What amenities are provided at the villa?

- Bedding, towels, shampoo, and body wash are provided as standard. Please bring your own toothpaste, toothbrush, and water, or purchase them at the self-bar in the villa. Other items such as firewood for campfires and barbecue sets can be purchased for a fee when booking the villa.

Q5. What happens to unused accommodation days?

- Unused accommodation days are carried over to the next month. However, they will expire if you cancel your subscription or after one year. Please note that this is a long-term villa subscription product, not a short-term accommodation product.

Q6. Are pets allowed in all villas?

- We strive to allow pets in most villas, but due to facilities, environment, and external factors, there are some villas where pets are not allowed.

Q7. Is it only available to subscription members?

- According to Wadiz policy, this funding reward subscription cannot be rented or transferred and can only be used by the person who funded it. However, the official Bacon House subscription membership can be freely used by anyone together.

Maker Introduction

Hello, I am Seokhyun Cho, CEO of Wires Co., Ltd., operating Bacon House. We are a group gathered with the agenda of 'solving local extinction and vacant houses,' currently purchasing or leasing vacant houses in rural and fishing villages to create subscription-based second homes.

To create a population of regular visitors, not just one-time tourists, in rural villages that are becoming slums due to increasing vacant houses, relationship population we aimed to remodel vacant houses into second homes. Instead of the burden of owning a country house, which quickly loses value with even a little neglect and requires high purchase costs, we are creating a new market where anyone can enjoy a second home through the rational method of sharing and subscription.

We have attracted investment up to Pre-A from VCs such as Hana Ventures, who resonated with our mission, and are growing Bacon House in collaboration with various local governments.

We ask for your continued interest and support in our journey, and hope you experience the life of nature and local communities through Bacon House.

Reason for Wadiz Funding and Future Plans

The reason we started Wadiz funding is to build trust in Bacon House. As the service is still in its early stages, customers found it difficult to pay a monthly subscription fee of over 300,000 KRW just based on advertisements. Since Wadiz conducts basic verification before funding, we decided to proceed with Wadiz funding to receive feedback from Wadiz supporters and to verify how much interest there would be in the subscription model once trust is established.

After the funding, the funds raised will be used for villas needed for future expansion, and we will do our best to achieve our goal of 20 villas within 25 years.
