Hello, I’m Soom, the creator of Saebyeokgyeol (pronounced: seh-byuk-gyul).
In Korean, Soom means "breath", and Saebyeokgyeol means “the texture of dawn.”
For over ten years,
I worked in strategy and new business development at a large corporation,
while also being a mother of two and a leader within an organization.
I tried to be good at every role.
And in doing so, my heart slowly filled with fear and self-blame.
What saved me wasn’t a grand success,
but a quiet practice of letting go.
Allowing emotions to surface, instead of suppressing them.
Gently releasing what no longer needed to stay.
That small, simple ritual
made my life feel lighter—little by little.
This candle was created from that experience.
