- Hello. This is MPMan Korea, the creator of the SSPB semi-solid power bank.
Wewanted to create a 'truly reliable and long-lasting power bank'.
We wanted to overcome the limitations of conventional lithium-ion batteries,and became interested in 'semi-solid batteries' that provide safer and more stable power, and after countless sample tests and failures, we finally developed the currentsemi-solid state battery (SSPB).
As I was also a supporter of crowdfunding, I prepared this project with the mindset of becoming a maker who can be trusted even during the 'waiting' period.
The background for preparing this project is,
- In recent years, incidents related to lithium-ion batteriessuch as fires and explosions have continued to occur, making batterysafety an important issue for both consumers and the industry. In particular, incidents of portable battery explosions during travel or instability in high-temperature environments cause real inconvenience in daily life.
Meanwhile, the next-generation battery that is attracting attention,the all-solid-state battery boasts high safety and performance, butdue to high manufacturing costs and complex processes there are still difficulties in widespread commercialization.
In this situation, while maintaining thesafety and performance of all-solid-state batteries and offering a more reasonable cost and lighter structure than lithium-ion batteries,with a more reasonable cost and lightweight structure comes thesemi-solid-state battery which is gaining attention.
In this context, this project aims to focus onsemi-solid-state battery The potential of technology Next-generation competitiveness to the public, was planned to create an opportunity to increase consumer trust and brand value.
