The background behind preparing this project is,
- I looked at the discarded oyster shells and thought, 'Why do we have to just throw these away?' That question was the beginning of Covaltive. We developed 'Shellcon,' a resource-circulating concrete made from discarded shells, and wanted to create small objects that protect our daily lives using this material.
- The first thing that came to mind was glasses that we take off every day. So, we quietly and solidly created the Moai glasses stand to hold your emotions.
This project we are presenting has such a story.
Discarded shells with a new sensibility...
We took oyster shells that used to be thrown away at company dinners and developed them into a new material called 'Shellcon,' hardening them once again.
This product is made with the sensibility of the sea.
A material stronger and more durable than traditional plaster.
Commonly used plaster breaks easily and is prone to discoloration.
'Shellcon,' through its unique blend,has improved strength and water resistance, making it a practical, high-strength, resource-circulating material.
An object that combines both function and form.
This is not just a simple glasses holder.
This Moai, quietly placed on your desk or beside your bed,is a small guardian that will protect your precious glasses while you sleep, it is.

Hello, I am Wonjun Lim, CEO of Covaltive.
I am a designer who has been contemplating the relationship between space, objects, and form.
Inspired by the idea of reviving discarded items like oyster shells into new materials,
I personally developed new materials such as the high-strength shell concrete 'Shellcon' and the ultra-fast setting material for objects 'Snap shell,' and as the first result,Moai Eyeglass Stand is being introduced.
A small but functional object that can be used for a long time. That is the kind of item I wanted to create.
This project is the starting point. I look forward to your support.
The reason I chose Wadiz is
not simply to sell products,
