The first pattern is the pattern of Prince Youngchin's Doryumundan cotton magoja. This is the magoja of Prince Youngchin, the last crown prince of the Korean Empire. It is an outer garment worn over the jeogori. The outer part is made of luxurious Doryumun silk, and the lining is made of a light-colored busagyeon.

The second pattern is the empress's ceremonial robe. This is the attire presumed to be the ceremonial robe worn by the empress when Gojong ascended to the throne. It is a formal ceremonial dress worn by queens or crown princesses.

The third and fourth patterns are bookmarks made from the Youngchinwangbi Hwajojepmun paemulbo.Paemulbo is a wrapping cloth made of silk. It features splendid patterns such as phoenixes, parrots, butterflies, and bees, which will lift your spirits every time you see them.

Maker Introduction

Colormade Project

We are a project team united for design-related production. After years of activity, we have launched the <Korean Costume> project on Wadiz. We ask for your support so that we can continue to expand our creative journey through Wadiz.

Instagram: @colormade_project

Why Wadiz?

We have been active as the Colormade Project team on various platforms. During that time, we have created several books. Among them were books that emphasized Korean design. While planning the book, collecting materials, and editing the content, we were deeply impressed by the beauty of Korea.

Currently, our studio has many books related to Korean design, such as costumes, patterns, and color schemes. All of this is thanks to our past production experiences. We are confident that Korean aesthetics are in no way inferior to those of the West. Therefore, we are also certain that many people will love them.To turn this conviction into reality, we decided to create an archive of our country's beautiful costumes through Wadiz. For this, we have updated not only the materials we already had but also newly collected resources.

We ask for your interest in our premium catalog of Korean costumes, expressed in a variety of ways.

Promise of Project Success

If the project succeeds, we will keep three promises.

1. We will present more creations on Wadiz.

We still have many ideas that have not yet been realized. There are also many items we wish to improve in a better direction. If this project succeeds, we will strive to present more creations on Wadiz using the funds raised.

2. We will continue to be creators.

Living as a creator is actually lonelier and more solitary than it seems. Sometimes, we wish someone would recognize and support us. If the project succeeds, we will believe that many supporters have endorsed our philosophy, and we will engage in even more creative activities. We will strive to create works that satisfy both supporters and makers, not just benefiting the makers alone.

3. We will pay more attention to Korean aesthetics.

We believe that the beautiful colors of our country should be known to even more people. If the project succeeds, we will take the lead in focusing more on Korean aesthetics and make efforts to develop various ideas related to it. Just as a small flutter of wings can create a great wind, we sincerely hope this will be an opportunity for many people to experience the beauty of Korea.
