It's a special gift!

These bookmarks are made using actual patterns from traditional Korean hats.

The first pattern is inspired by Nambawi. It is a type of winter hat with a back flap that extends down to the nape of the neck. The blue lining in the color of Chuiram seems to make the neck even warmer.

The second pattern is the crown of Princess Yeongchin. It is made in a deep indigo color, with a lotus flower made of white jade and a coral adorned with pearl tassels. I placed it at the top of the bookmark as a highlight.

We will give them as gifts so you can use them while enjoying the catalog! [Size approx. 60x154(mm)]

These are also postcards featuring actual traditional Korean hats.

We used photos of these five traditional hats. They are great as decorations, and you can also use them as letters or memos from time to time.

1. <Traditional Hats of Korea> is the most suitable for beginners. It is not a professional academic textbook, but rather a book containing general explanations introduced in various museums. Sometimes there are pages with little explanation and wide margins, but this makes the design clean. It is a catalog that is comfortable to browse.

2. <Traditional Hats of Korea> is made with high-quality paper, excellent print quality, and hardcover binding. It is a premium size, much larger and heavier than a typical book. The size is planned to be slightly larger than the standard B5 size. You will be fully satisfied when you receive it!

3. <Traditional Hats of Korea> mainly covers artifacts from the Joseon Dynasty, the Korean Empire, the Japanese colonial period, and right after liberation. Including only actual artifact photos was the principle of this project. Therefore, please note that only recent materials are covered.

4. <Traditional Hats of Korea> and <Korean Costumes> are composed with unique designs. This is because the project expanded Korean-related books previously run on other platforms into a larger catalog. Thus, a similar layout was used, and some pages may have a unique layout. We will make sure to produce it beautifully so there are no issues when viewing.

5. <Hidden Artifacts of Korea> is an archiving catalog that introduces museum donations selected from numerous cultural assets donated a few years ago, from the perspective of Colormade. It is.It is unrelated to various exhibitions hosted by national museums under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and will be independently produced using materials legally provided by the National Museum of Korea. Thank you for your understanding.

Maker Introduction

Colormade Project

We are a project team united for design-related production. After continuing our activities on various platforms, we presented projects such as <Korean Costumes> and <new Color Printing Guide> on Wadiz. As this project also contains special content, we plan to present a high-quality catalog with great care in both materials and printing. Please support and cheer for us so we can continue to expand our creative journey through Wadiz!

Why Wadiz?

We have been active as the Colormade Project Team through various platforms. In the process, we have created several books. Among them were books that emphasized Korean design. While planning the book, collecting materials, and editing the content, I was deeply impressed by the beauty of Korea.

Currently, our studio has many books related to Korean design, such as traditional clothing, crafts, patterns, and color schemes. This is all thanks to our past production experiences. We are confident that Korean aesthetics are in no way inferior to those of the West. Therefore, we are also certain that many people will love it.To turn this conviction into reality, we decided to create a beautiful art archiving catalog of our country through Wadiz. For this, we have updated not only the materials we already had, but also all the newly collected resources.

We kindly ask for your interest in this premium catalog that vibrantly expresses the beauty of Korea.

Promise of Project Success

If the project succeeds, we will keep three promises.

1. We will present more creations on Wadiz.

We still have many ideas that have not yet been fully developed. There are also many items we wish to improve in a better direction. If this project succeeds, we will strive to present more creations on Wadiz using the funding.

2. We will continue to be active as makers.

Being a maker is actually lonelier and more solitary than it seems. Sometimes, we wish someone would recognize and support us. If the project succeeds, we will believe that many supporters have endorsed our philosophy, and we will engage in even more creative activities. We will strive to create works that satisfy not only the makers but also both supporters and makers alike.

3. We will pay more attention to Korean aesthetics.

We believe that the beautiful colors of our country still need to be shared with many more people. If the project succeeds, we will take the lead in paying more attention to Korean aesthetics and make efforts to develop various ideas related to it. Just as a small flutter of wings can create a great wind, we sincerely hope this will be an opportunity for Korean beauty to be shared with many people.
