When told it was impossible, I began a challenge bordering on obsession.
At first, we simply thought about creating a texture similar to soft, fluffy tofu, but the formula dried too quickly before it could take effect, or on the contrary, became too thick and was difficult to wash off. It needed to be fluffy and moist like tofu, but also spread easily and wash off effortlessly. The key was in the thickener ingredient, but at the early stage of development, the essential thickener was discontinued worldwide.
One year of development, six manufacturers, and over 50 samples.
However, we could not compromise on the formula or its effectiveness. The fluffiness of the tofu texture, the moist feeling as if drenched in water, the non-sticky and easy-to-wipe usability, and the visible, definite results. We received countless samples without thickeners, but they dried out quickly or became too thick to wash off properly. We went beyond the lab, directly contacting raw material suppliers and manufacturers ourselves. Despite dozens of failures, we pushed through to find a texture and moisture that was not dry, not too thick, but truly like real tofu. Finally, after a year, working with six manufacturers and sampling over 50 times, we achieved a real tofu formula that spreads smoothly, stays moist over time, and washes off cleanly.
