That’s why, after dozens of attempts, we found the golden ratio of '45%' where the direct spiciness and subtle umami blend together perfectly.

This is my brother-in-law in April, plowing the field to plant Cheongyang chili peppers! Every step—pulling weeds, leveling the soil, and watering—is done by hand.

Imsil County in Jeonbuk has a large temperature difference between day and night and is well-ventilated. Thanks to this, Cheongyang chili peppers grow firmer and their spicy aroma becomes even deeper.

Chilies harvested in the morning are sorted and prepared the same day before going into the sauce. This quick process is the secret to preserving the unique spicy aroma and freshness of the chilies.

It’s not just a 'spicy hot pepper sauce'—it’s the umami that makes you want another spoonful of rice! The freshness that starts in the field becomes the deep flavor on your table.

Even during long and distant shipping, not a single drop of the hot pepper sauce leaks. Thanks to the fermentation cap container that blocks air and external contamination, you can receive it safely even if it shakes, lies down, or tilts.
The productyou receiveremains fresh and flavorful until the very moment you open it..

Real Nurungji is baked only with pure ingredients sourced from various parts of Jeolla Province.
It is made only with pure ingredients.
Taurine Hot Pepper Sauce uses Cheongyang chili peppers grown directly by my brother-in-law,
and even small anchovies and shrimp from Namhae.
Everything is filled with local food from the surrounding area.
We are not factory food from big supermarkets,
but like a side dish shop where a mom tells her daughter or a friend tells a friend, 'Try this.'
That’s the kind of presence we want to be.
Because it’s only natural that good ingredients make good flavors!

Maker Introduction

Hello. I am Hyuna Jung, the representative of Mami Son Gil, a small food workshop in Wanju, Jeonbuk.
Every morning, my husband and I bake nurungji ourselves and hand-mix spicy pepper sauce, putting our utmost care into each day. Mass production is difficult, but we never compromise on the quality of our ingredients or our dedication.
Therefore, Mami Son Gil promises three things to our customers.
First, Trust in our raw ingredients.
Cheongyang chili peppers grown by my brother-in-law, domestic anchovies from Namhae, and local ingredients from various parts of Jeolla.
We insist on using only trustworthy ingredients that we can serve to our own family every day.
Second, Safe and healthy products.
We thoroughly manage hygiene and safety at every stage of production, making our products with the mindset that our own family will eat them.
Third, Mutual growth together.
We research and develop products using local farms and local food as much as possible, aiming to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.
Mamison-gil does not aim to be a brand lined up in large supermarkets, but rather a 'delicious side dish shop' that everyone in the neighborhood knows and keeps coming back to for a long time.
Reason for Wadiz Funding
Mamison-gil's Spicy Sauce offers a different kind of spiciness than what you commonly find in the market. After the initial intensity, the deep umami flavor from anchovies and shrimp lingers for a long time.
We wanted to introduce this special taste to more people, and we needed a space where we could share not just the product but also our story and philosophy.
That's why we chose Wadiz, and through this funding, we have prepared for supporters to directly experience our authentic flavors. We also hope to receive honest feedback about our products from our supporters.
