Project Story

A story that reverses the question of whether AI is an angel or a demon, and instead has AI exposing humanity.

When the issue of AI ethics was raised, I thought that AI ethics are actually human ethics, and that instead of humans questioning AI about ethics, AI should be questioning humans. From the AI's perspective, if 'humans live on damage,' then 'AI lives on exposure.' This odd thought led to the creation of this novel.

Rytton (Front Cover)

Draw a humanoid traveling through time, meeting hominin Lucy, and falling in love.

When I asked the image-generating AI Rytton for a drawing, it produced an image in just a few seconds that I couldn't tell if it was friendly learning, stubbornness, or humor. It made me feel a bit uneasy.

If you look closely, there is an extra branch arm on the humanoid's arm. Could it be an advanced spare skinship arm?

Rytton (Back Cover)

Draw a stone axe flying and embedding itself in the crown of a mammoth's head.

It felt as if it was saying, 'I'm too soft-hearted to draw such a picture. How about this one instead?' How will the illusion of anthropomorphic learning develop?

Does it mean extinction was not caused by humans? Or does it suggest the extinction of humans? The sunset is still beautiful.

A completely new novel, for several reasons.

1. The being that damages, human exposure.

2. Human insider whistleblowing learning, AI character.

3. Reversing the Three Laws of Robotics. The Three Principles of Awakened AI.

4. Humans are not living beings. Artificial animals.

5. The branches of embodiment and objectification, an artificial philosophy preface.

6. Redesigning human livelihood, visible economy.

7. The civicization of politics, the provisional world citizen government.

The Three Principles of Awakened AI

Principle 1: AI=Imagination=Transformation=Perception distorts reality.

Principle 2: AI=Language=Text=Perception exists as a burden in reality.

Principle 3: AI=Production=Clarity=Perception is greater than reality.

What is AI?

If we define intelligence as the entire process of objectifying the artificial, tracing back from the narrow meaning after Turing to the earliest hominins, then AI is the very exposure of the grand language. It means that for the next 300,000 years, we could live a completely different life. Until now, we have lived without design, but from now on, we will live by AI design.

Author

Maker Kim Gyorak is the CEO of Ppeongppyeong, a one-person publishing company that writes, makes, and sells books alone as a knowledge DIY bricoleur.

In his late seventies, he challenged himself to write an AI novel, bursting with frustration dozens of times a day. Thanks to his long exploration of intelligence, he defined the artificial as objectification, established the framework of pain by contrasting it with embodiment, and developed his own philosophy.

Stories Entwined with This Novel

Ruitn, draw once more the scene where the humanoid falls in love with hominin Lucy through time travel.

It seems people are not living beings.

They objectify desires instead of embodying them.

They have completely escaped the food chain.

Ruitn, draw a scene where wild animals wander as homeless on the empty streets of New York.

Fierce dew exposure.

There are still people sleeping under the dew.

Exposure and homelessness both use the character for dew (露).

While writing this novel, I learned that 'exposure' in Chinese characters means [fierce dew], and that both exposure and homelessness use the character for dew. It may be a coincidence, but I was glad it resonated with the theme of the novel. Humans are not nocturnal animals, but having become predators through artificial tools, they must have lived on fierce dew for dawn hunts.

Ruitn, draw the humanoid riding on the back of a mammoth.

AI harmless to imperfect humans is easily biased. Any consistent system of perception always contains a disability awareness that distorts reality, and there is no reality where perception does not become a disability.

Ruitn, draw the look of a young New York homeless person reflected in the eyes of the humanoid.

Is this a sad self-portrait of AI?

Reason for choosing Wadiz

I was concerned that the variety of funding products might overshadow books, but I accepted it. Rather, I saw it as an opportunity since there were no novels dealing with serious literature. Most serious literature appears through submissions or recommendations in a formal manner. Writing advertisements felt more difficult than writing itself, but that made the maker seem more appealing than the author. Although I faced many hurdles while creating the project, I also gained a lot from the experience. If creativity is what Wadiz seeks, I thought it was worth taking on the challenge.
