The joy of owning a limited edition calendar!

The energy of the sun awakens the earth, and life blossoms in this year.
The year 2026 isByeongo Year (Year of the Red Horse).
'Byeong' symbolizes the light and vitality of the sun, while 'O' refers to the horse, a symbol of passion and progress.Red Horse, that is, the red horse imbued with the flames of the sun, conveys strong drive and vibrant energy.

From Goguryeo tomb murals to hunting scene folding screens that decorated warriors' rooms, and the chest badges on official robes,

Since ancient times, the horse has been regarded as a companion sharing human destiny and a reliable supporter.
Just like the legend of King Jumok driving the Eight Steeds to find the Queen Mother of the West,
the horse is asacred being that symbolizes the connection between heaven and humans.
Also, the qilin, which is said to appear when a virtuous king rules the world justly,
is an auspicious creature with the face of a dragon and the body of a horse,
It is announced that the will of the heavens has been delivered to the human world.

Maker Introduction

We are sisters Park Kisook and Park Juhui, who paint Minhwa.

We create Minhwa that captures the stories of our time.

The older sister, Park Kisook, discovered the beauty of Minhwa under the influence of her mother-in-law, who has deep knowledge of traditional culture.  She realized the beauty of Minhwa and is an artist who diligently studies traditional motifs and  patterns and techniques.

The younger sister, Park Juhui, is a graphic designer who creates artworks that reinterpret traditional Minhwa in a modern way.  She draws pictures that reinterpret traditional Minhwa in a contemporary style.

We plan to continue introducing Minhwa to the public through new attempts in the future.  We will keep working to introduce Minhwa to a wider audience.
