The reason behind preparing this Spring Signal project is,
The place where we spend the most time in a day,
I believe there should be complete tranquility in a corner of my space.
It doesn't matter whether it's a corner of the living room, the kitchen, or even a small desk.
Anywhere that can gently comfort me,My own resting space, With the hope that it becomes that, I started this project.
In our busy daily lives, what we miss are the very small and trivial things.
I wanted to place the soft curves of nature on the stability of cold straight lines,
I wanted to create objects that calm the mind just by looking at them.
A small bird gently perched on the vase offers you
A warm greeting in your daily life.
<Tree and Bird> Vase Is enough on its own, even without flowers.
Feel the grain of the clay tree with your hands,
Or simply gaze at it and feel the space in your heart.
The story of the Spring Signal project we present this time,
We captured the delicate patterns of wood throughout the entire piece using fine-textured white porcelain clay.
The matte and soft texture at your fingertips gives a sense of tranquility, as if caressing a tree in the forest.
Experience the heartfelt touch unique to Sagye Yeonman.

The small bird gently perched at the end of the vessel is the main character of this piece.
Even on days without flowers, this little bird will keep your space from feeling lonely.
When left empty, it serves as a neat objet d'art.
When filled with flowers, it has the charm of capturing a scene from nature.
Introduction to Sagye-yeon Studio

In Yes Park (Icheon Ceramic Art Village) in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do,
we are a couple of artists running the ceramic studio 'Sagye-yeon.'
As a couple, we create ceramics inspired by the grain of wood, capturing the vitality and tranquility of nature.
From our first connection, the 'Tree and Bird' series, to Yunseol...
The 'Tree and Bird' series, which marked our debut as artists,
is the work that most deeply reflects the identity of Sagye-yeon.
Starting with this, we have created the Growth Ring series that records the passage of trees, the still and tranquil Winter Forest series, the Lake series filled with clear serenity, and the Yunseol series inspired by the first snow.
We capture scenes that nature offers us in our ceramics.
Sagye-yeon's series embodying the grain of nature
The reason we came to Wadiz
Our first series as a couple, the 'Tree and Bird' vessel,
is the work that most densely embodies the identity of Sagye-yeon.
Although we have already met many people through our offline space in Icheon Ceramic Art Village and the Sagye-yeon online mall,
we were curious about forming new connections with those who would support our philosophy and join us as 'makers' and 'supporters' on Wadiz.
These stories, quietly crafted in the workshop over a long time,
I am very excited and nervous to present them to Wadiz supporters for the first time.
Like a small bird that comes to us after a cold winter,
The <Spring Signal> exhibition on Wadiz
seemed like the warmest stage to announce Sagye-yeon's first funding.
With the hope that Sagye-yeon's spring will gently seep into the daily lives of more people through this project,
I gathered my courage and knocked on the door.
Just like the name of the Sagye-yeon (Four Seasons Connection) workshop,
I hope to share the warm connections of the four seasons
with Wadiz supporters.
