The People Who Made This Book
Imwon Economy Research Institute × Pungseok Cultural Foundation
Imwon Economy Research Institute
Since 2004, this is the only specialized research institute in Korea dedicated to translating and authenticating the 'Imwon Gyeongjeji.' Led by Director Jeong Myeong-hyeon, expert researchers in Korean literature, agriculture, food science, medicine, and forestry work together.
It is not simply a translation of Chinese characters into Korean. The work includes authenticating four major editions, providing explanations and annotations understandable to modern readers, and verification photos compared with real materials. We have created a 'living classic' that can be used in today's life, not just a classical text for research.
Pungseok Cultural Foundation
A foundation named after Seoyu-gu's pen name, 'Pungseok (楓石).' It is a non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This is the only foundation established with the goal of completing all 16 volumes of Imwon Gyeongjeji and registering it as a UNESCO Memory of the World.

FAQ
Q. Isn't it difficult to read because of the many Chinese characters?
A. This book is a complete modern Korean translation. Although the original Chinese characters are included, all are accompanied by translations, and detailed annotations and explanations are provided for difficult terms. This book is made not only for classical scholars but also for general readers interested in history, food, agriculture, and health.
Q. Can I purchase only some of the books?
A. Yes, you can. You can select each of the seven sections as individual rewards. If you are especially interested in cooking, we recommend the Jeongjoji package; if you are interested in health and wellness, the Boyangji package; and if you are interested in agriculture and horticulture, the Bonliji + Gwanhyuji package combination. However, the composition of gifts and discount benefits are maximized based on the full package.
Q. Isn't this book only for researchers and experts?
A. No, it is not. The core principle of this translation project is 'a classic not only for researchers, but also a practical classic that today's readers can read and refer to.' This book is for those who love history, those interested in traditional food and cooking, those who enjoy agriculture and horticulture, those interested in health and wellness, and anyone who wants to connect with the roots of Korean culture.
Q. When will the remaining volumes be released?
This Sikryeok section (19 volumes) is the first stage of the complete 16-section project. The second stage, Yangji section, and the third stage, Injeji section, will follow, and Wadiz supporters will be informed first. Participants in this funding will receive priority notifications for future releases.
