Time for Myself
After quitting my busy job, I took time to focus on myself and reflect.
During that process, I realized that having time to truly face myself each day is essential!
For me, that time was the "moment of bathing."
A time to cleanse my body and mind and look back on myself.
So, I created a lightweight linen bathrobe to make that time even more comfortable!
Shed the Day, Be Yourself
I needed a bathrobe that would naturally wrap around my body after a bath or shower.
But existing robes became heavy when soaked with water,
and unless it was a cold day, they felt too thick.
They were also bulky, so if there was no robe at my accommodation while traveling, I just had to go without one.
I even tried gauze robes that claimed to be light,
but when wet, they clung uncomfortably to my body.
Encounter with Good Linen
I pondered.
Since it's a time to cleanse the body, I wanted the bathrobe to be as light as possible,
and to absorb moisture well without sticking to the skin.
While searching for the right fabric,
I discovered that linen made from the flax plant is highly breathable and absorbent.
The more I learned about it, the more attractive the fabric became!
The flax plant, which is the raw material for linen, does not require much water.
Thanks to this, linen already considers sustainability in its production process compared to other fabrics in terms of water usage.

It is 100% biodegradable, reducing the burden on the planet.
Above all, Lithuanian linen is light and soft,
Even when it absorbs moisture, it does not stick to the body, making it perfect to wear right after a bath.
In moments of self-reflection, I didn't want to harm the Earth,
So I wanted to create it with a kind fabric from production to disposal.
Due to the nature of flax fibers, which are the raw material for linen, it is difficult to process them uniformly even with modern technology.
Therefore, if you look closely at linen fabric, you may notice some uneven areas.
This is not a product defect, but a natural characteristic of linen fabric!
100% Lithuanian linen
Using 100% Lithuanian linen, we created samples with various thicknesses of linen fabric.
Most thick fabrics tend to be stiff and not soft.
However, Lithuanian linen is processed to be soft while maintaining an appropriate thickness,
It is light, absorbs moisture well, and is breathable, so it does not stick to the body.
It was truly the perfect fabric to make the bathrobe I wanted :)
Enjoy only comfort.
After making and trying on the sample, I found that the front panel tended to fall open due to the lightness of the linen fabric.
So to solve this, we added an inner string and redesigned it for a more secure fit.
The pocket, perfect for storing hair ties or sanitary pads, is generously sized and designed as an inner pocket.
The reason for this design is partly due to my own taste influenced by minimalism,
but also because I considered the position where you can naturally slip your hand in after wearing it.
With traditional bathrobes, after tying the waist string, you often wonder, "Where is the pocket?"
I remember having to search for the pocket somewhere around the side of my hip.
Another great thing about the inner pocket is,
it might not even look like a bathrobe.
Not only in the bathroom, but also during everyday relaxation at home,
it becomes a robe that fits perfectly!

but at some point, I realized I was gradually losing my sense of self.
So I paused for a moment and took time to focus on myself.
I spent six of those months traveling through 14 countries.
What impressed me more than museums,
were the conversations I had with people, the time spent understanding and empathizing with each other's thoughts.
Through that experience,
I gained the strength to live more true to myself from now on.
With the hope that many of you will also carefully begin your own version of 'being yourself,' I prepared this.
A world where more 'real' people live!

this bathrobe is what I decided to create.
Even in the midst of a busy, hectic day,
A warm moment to face your true self and comfort yourself.
