In 1959, in a quaint mansion on the outskirts of Paris, France, it all began.Étains du ManoirJust as the name means 'Pewter of the Manor,' they have created artistic legacies symbolizing the dining culture of Europe's upper class for over half a century.

The times when you had to hand-polish precious pewter products every time, worrying about exposing them to even slightly hot water, or about the 'bond' used to attach metal and porcelain. That is not true luxury.

By using not ordinary porcelain, but lightweight and highly durable bone china, we elevate the quality of the material and complete the elegance of dining. It is resistant to heat and humidity, and as the part that comes into direct contact with food, it is easy to keep clean.

The rims, handles, or bases of the dishes and cups are decorated with pewter, preserving the unique sentiment of pewter dishes.

Étains du Manoir does not simply purchase ordinary porcelain dishes and combine them with pewter. Instead, bone china products are precisely crafted to fit the pewter molds, and artisans complete the high-end pieces by hand, ensuring a seamless fit.

Traditional pewter tableware is beautiful, but had several major drawbacks for practical use. Bone china solves these perfectly. It is resistant to heat and humidity, and as the part that comes into direct contact with food, it is easy to keep clean.

It is lighter and more durable than ordinary porcelain, making it suitable for everyday use.

The unique subtle translucency of bone china creates a luxurious atmosphere on the table.

The rims, handles, or bases of the dishes and cups are decorated with pewter, preserving the unique sentiment of pewter dishes.

Only 'food grade' materials that have passed the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's strict heavy metal leaching tests are used, so you can safely use them as tableware for children.

Raw pewter is very soft by nature. Étains blends a small amount of copper and antimony in a golden ratio. This maintains the unique beauty of pewter while, doubling the strength and increasing scratch resistance by over 30% compared to regular pewter, ensuring practical durability as tableware.

During the alloying process, special heat treatment is used to remove bubbles inside the metal. This is a key technology that keeps the surface shine longer and minimizes discoloration.

Most conventional porcelain-metal combined tableware uses 'epoxy bond.' Étains precisely processes the pewter rim to match the porcelain shape down to decimal points, and applies a technique that physically interlocks them using an Italian high-pressure press.

Instead of simply attaching ready-made products, Étains de Manoir creates exclusive molds designed solely for this product by calculating the shrinkage rate of pewter and the texture of porcelain. This provides an overwhelming advantage in hygiene that cannot be compared to other companies' bonded products.

While glue hardens and crumbles over time, Étains' press-fit bonding maintains its shape semi-permanently unless subjected to external impact.

Because it is assembled using a physical press method without any glue, there are no components that could melt even when exposed to hot water. You can safely put it in the dishwasher without worrying about the joints lifting or endocrine disruptors being released.

By calculating the difference in thermal expansion coefficients between pewter and bone china, we applied a precise tolerance design that prevents stress between the materials during contraction and expansion. Its stability has been verified through hundreds of washing tests.

With a stackable design tailored to the Korean kitchen environment, the products can be neatly stacked for excellent space efficiency.

Thailand has long been the center of global pewter production. Among them, Detail Products, established in 1989, has become a leading handcrafted pewter and bone china brand representing not only Thailand but all of Asia.

This is not simply a place that makes products. It is one of the few 'artisan groups' in the world capable of uniting the disparate worlds of metal and ceramic crafts. Over 37 years, they have accumulated data to perfectly understand how pewter reacts to temperature and humidity, and how the fit with metal changes depending on the kiln temperature of bone china.

Pewter is a highly ductile metal. If pressed too hard by machine, its properties change. The artisan reads the grain of the metal with each hammer strike and adjustment, controlling the force. This delicate 'hand touch' creates a subtle and deep luster on the product's surface.

Porcelain shrinks slightly differently during firing. While machines operate by fixed values, artisans carve and fit each pewter rim to match every bone china plate individually. Compensating for errors down to decimal points by hand—this is the real secret behind Étains products' perfect bond without glue.

Look closely at the logo and patterns engraved on the product's rim. These are not cold, machine-stamped lines. The artisan's breath is captured in the lines, which reveal various expressions depending on the angle of light, and as you use them, they blend with your touch to become a truly unique 'one-of-a-kind dish'.

The 'original mold,' the secret behind the elegant curves that once adorned the tables of French nobility, has been faithfully transferred to the workshop in Thailand.

The Étains de Manoir logo engraved on the bottom of the product is not just a brand name. It is a 'certificate of quality' proving the union of French artistic design heritage and the flawless craftsmanship of Thai artisans.

This is not simply about making beautiful dishes. The process of reviving 95% pure pewter as living tableware goes through eight uncompromising steps.

All luxury goods begin with the purity of their materials. Over 95% premium pewter is blended with small amounts of copper and antimony.

The molten pewter alloy is poured into a precision mold (France Mold) specially made in Italy.

The cast pewter block is passed through powerful rollers to form sheets of uniform thickness.

Artisans use precision tools to carve each product into its intended shape.

The company emblem, symbolizing the authenticity that began in the mansions of French nobility, is engraved by hand.

This is the pinnacle of Étains' craftsmanship.Using a semi-automatic pressing technique, the pewter component is physically and permanently bonded to the bone china plate.

By holding the product against a rotating buffing wheel, the surface texture is refined to bring out its shine.

To remove even the finest scratches, it is meticulously polished once more with a soft cloth and special polishing compound.

A single plate passes through the hands of artisans hundreds of times before completion. Only the dishes that have undergone this final polishing are delivered to supporters under the name 'Étains de Manoir.'

Pewter is a material with a visually powerful presence. Its unique 'silver gray' tone, calmer than silver and deeper than stainless steel, instantly anchors the atmosphere of the entire space when placed on the table.

The physical and psychological weight of the pewter alloy has been preserved. However, its form has been extremely refined to suit modern spaces. The smoothness comes from eliminating complex decorations.'Plain Rim'The design ensures that when food is served, attention is not distracted and remains focused solely on the dish.

Instead of the excessive opulence seen in the tableware of past nobility, we adopted sophisticated lines based on modern minimalism. This allows it to function as a perfect object not only in classic mansions but also in the living rooms of modern city apartments without any sense of discord.

Étains de Manoir retains the noble aura of an 'artifact.' The elegant proportions, born from the molds of the French royal family, are a beauty proven over centuries.

Even when not holding food, it serves as an excellent interior accessory. Simply stacked neatly on a display cabinet, it becomes a fine collectible that reflects your refined taste.

We focused on 'emptiness' rather than extravagance. The aesthetics of the boundary where the cleanliness of bone china meets the calm gray of pewter. The flawless finish of the joint, allowing no margin for error even by 0.1mm, provides a visual pleasure that only luxury items can offer.

The pewter of Étains rejects artificial, flashy shine. The 'subtle satin sheen' achieved through the artisan's buffing process absorbs and softly diffuses light under illumination.

Pewter subtly changes its hue with the touch of the user and the passage of time. This is not discoloration, but 'maturation.' As the moments at your table accumulate, the plate finds a deeper and richer color unique to itself.

It boasts a generous diameter of 27cm, the global fine dining standard. From steak to elaborate garnishes, you can unleash your culinary imagination without limits.

It is sized perfectly for salads, bruschetta, or desserts such as slices of cake.

The exquisite depth of 2.7cm is perfect not only for soups but also for risotto, pasta, and stew dishes with sauces.

At the bottom of the cup, using a high-tech pressing method,Pewter modern baseprovides not only visual stability but also ensures the cup remains balanced and does not tip over easily.

The finely crafted pewter handles at both ends of the tray are individually shaped and polished by artisans. The solid grip you feel in your hand instills a sense of pride even when serving food.

The 'beaded rim' decoration, meticulously engraved along the edge, showcases the essence of Étains de Manoir craftsmanship.

Pewter excels at retaining coldness. The pewter base supports the bottom of the wine glass, slowing the transfer of warmth from your hand to the wine, making it especially valuable when enjoying white wine or champagne.

It delivers a heavy, cool sensation that stainless steel or glassware cannot provide. The cold temperature of the pewter, which settles instantly when pouring beer, increases the density of the foam and keeps the carbonation refreshing until the last sip.
