Hello, I am a mother raising a child while running a Montessori-based learning space in Yongin,the power to think independently and I am Namhee Lee of 'Waymaker,' who researches and develops educational tools that help children cultivate this ability.

After learning and teaching with many children for seven years, I have come to one conviction."The experience of exploring and solving problems on their own helps children grow the most."

However, in actual educational settings, there is more training to quickly find the right answer, and few opportunities for children to try, fail, and improve on their own.

After much consideration, what was born is'Logical Roadbuilder'. It may look like a simple block-stacking game, but children design routes between the starting point and the destination,creating algorithms. When the bulldozer stops on the road, instead of panicking, the child finds out what went wrong, fixes it, and tries again. Through this process, children naturally developcritical thinking, problem-solving skills, and perseverance.

While using Roadbuilder in class, I witnessed firsthand how the look in children's eyes changed. Children who used to ask for the right answer began to say, "What if I try it this way?" I wanted more children to experience this amazing change, so we are introducing Waymaker's own Logical Roadbuilder.

Waymaker's goal is not simply to sell toys. It is to give children the experience of 'creating their own path when faced with a dead end.' That is why the brand is named 'Waymaker.'

From now on,"an educational tool I definitely want to give my own child," and "a tool that allows children to explore and grow on their own"—I will put my heart into making these. I believe your support and choice can create new opportunities for play and learning for more children.

[Reason for funding] Although Logical Roadbuilder activities may seem like simple play, children naturally learn the core aspects of computational thinking, such as algorithm design and debugging, in an amazingly intuitive way.

However, most toys on the market are simple products that only create predetermined shapes, and it was difficult to find systematic, step-by-step coding kits that open up a child's thinking. That is why Waymaker has developed an educational unplugged coding kit, based on 96 challenge configurations proven effective in real educational settings, allowing children to design, explore, and complete on their own.Educational unplugged coding kit has been completed.
