Maker Introduction

Chilbaek Brewery is a newly established brewery located in Jicheon-myeon, Chilgok-gun.

The owner of the brewery returned to farming in Chilgok five years ago and now cultivates Chilgok honey melon and Baekjinju rice. While pursuing the life of a farmer, he is also realizing his long-held dream of brewing. By producing local agricultural products and increasing their added value through brewing, he aims to contribute to the growth of the local population by connecting traditional liquor with experience and tourism. The brewery uses only premium, single-variety Baekjinju freshly harvested rice grown directly by the owner.

In addition, the brand incorporates modern sensibilities and eco-friendly values to strengthen communication with consumers and aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the local economy and culture.

FAQ

Q. What is the shelf life and storage method?

A. It is 90 days from the date of manufacture. After receiving the product, we recommend refrigeration (0~10โ„ƒ) to maintain the best taste and quality. Please consume as soon as possible after opening. If stored for a long time at temperatures above 10โ„ƒ, fermentation may continue, which can alter the taste and quality, so please be careful. Some effervescence or gas may occur during storage, but this is a natural part of the fermentation process and is safe to consume.

Q. How is the product packaged and shipped?

A. Since the makgeolli is in glass bottles that require temperature control, each bottle is wrapped with cushioning material and shipped in a styrofoam box with a thermal insulation pack and ice pack. Stickers labeled <Fresh Food> and <Handle with Care> are attached to the outside of the box to ensure careful handling by the courier.
