Seen on the screen,
Not pixel data,
But the texture of paint layered on canvas,
And the texture of the paint,
The overwhelming atmosphere you feel in front of it,
That overwhelming atmosphere,
Can be felt directly,
The feeling of masterpieces in a museum...
Could we capture that in a book?

Maker Introduction

A dream I have kept alone, now I want to complete it together with you.
Art has the power to deeply and broadly transform our lives. A single painting can move the heart, and a single book can change the direction of a life. Yet, we still live in an environment where art is not easily accessible. So I thought,
'How wonderful would it be if anyone could feel the inspiration of art in their daily life?'
In the fall of 2002, a reckless dream began—to capture the true inspiration of masterpieces.
It took 16 years for the first book to be published.
Countless trials and errors, unexpected costs, and lonely times I had to endure alone. I held on with the belief that 'someday, someone will be waiting for a book like this.'
At first glance, it may look like an ordinary art book. But inside, it contains a sincere desire and technology to deliver true inspiration. I have researched and created every single page and print so that you can feel the colors, textures, and even the breath of the artist within the masterpiece.
To sell at the current price, I had to produce at least 5,000 copies at once. I had to wait, paying storage fees for over two years until all those books were sold. I endured, anxious for months at a time, to raise the 50 million won needed for each series. There were many moments when I wanted to give up. On the final print test day before launching the Gallery Book series, there was even a moment of despair when the 10 million won test cost vanished into thin air.
After all that time dreaming and persevering alone, the result is now becoming a 'book made together,' the Gallery Book series.
All of this is thanks to you, our supporters.
Gallery Book is not a book made in advance. It is a book created one by one, built on trust with each reader. It is not a book promoted by advertisements, but a book where one person's inspiration is passed on to another's heart. Thanks to those who consistently believed in and supported Gallery Book, this book was able to come into the world.
At the heart of the world that Gallery Book dreams of are children who do not have easy access to art. Experiencing the world anew through art in childhood can be powerful enough to change the direction of one's life. However, there are too many children who do not get such opportunities. That is why Gallery Book always thinks of children when making books. With the hope that a single painting, a single book, will become their 'first window to art.' Someday, we hope those children will see the world more warmly through art and dream in their own colors.
Your support is not simply about buying a book.
A moving experience shared by children and adults alike.
The power that keeps one person's long-held dream alive.
A warm bridge of art connecting generations.
A book that anyone can easily appreciate and that will remain in their hearts for a long time.
That is exactly what the Gallery Book series is.
I want to write the next story together with you.

Reason for choosing Wadiz
The most important consideration in creating the Gallery Book series was 'accessibility.' To produce this book, which uses expensive specialty paper, at a price anyone can afford, mass production of at least 5,000 copies is essential.
Of course, it would have been possible to make a collectible book at a high price, but that was not the goal we have long dreamed of. We wanted to gift the beauty of masterpieces, which our generation could not easily access, to the next generation. Not something expensive enjoyed by a few, but at a price anyone can comfortably afford.
With the help of Wadiz supporters, we were able to realize the dream of developing Gallery Book Series 1, and later, through publication, we were happy to see reviews from many people who discovered the true beauty of masterpieces. There is still a review that remains deeply in my heart: "I hope the series doesn't stop and continues to come out."
That is why we cannot stop producing the Gallery Book series. And the driving force behind it is you, the Wadiz supporters. We will continue to work with you to create even more beautiful and wonderful books.
Future plans for the use of funding
The funds will be used for research and production of a new gallery book. This includes not only achieving quality close to the original work and conducting test runs for the best printing quality, but also preparing in-depth interpretations and critiques of the works in collaboration with experts.
We will also expand the featured content, enhance quality using premium binding and paper, and begin producing additional series. Through consistent publishing, our goal is to go beyond a single book and popularize valuable works of art, helping people find relaxation and emotion in everyday life.
