Maker Introduction
Hello, supporters.
I am So Jae-kyung, CEO of The Masters, leading Master Jang Young-an's Jade Moon Jar Project.
Master Jang Young-an is a Korean ceramic master who has reproduced the mysterious celadon color of Goryeo and the beauty of Joseon white porcelain for over 50 years. The jade moon jar born from his hands is not simply a beautiful piece of pottery, but a culmination of traditional techniques and craftsmanship containing hundreds of years of history.
We wanted this precious value to be experienced not only by a few collectors or museums, but by more people in their daily lives. With this in mind, we chose the best way to bring tradition into modern life.
The master's jade moon jarpossesses a profound beauty that brings peace to the mind just by looking at it, and this serene beauty, unaffected by trends, will permeate your space and elevate the quality of your everyday life. Thank you.
Reason for Wadiz Funding
Master Jang Young-an's jade moon jar is not just a piece of pottery, but a precious work that revives fading traditional values in the modern era. To let more people know about the master's work, which contains countless hours and devotion, and to share its value, we chose Wadiz funding.
• Modern reinterpretation of tradition
This work reinterprets the mysterious celadon color of Goryeo and the pure form of Joseon white porcelain with a modern sensibility. The clear and deep jade-like color is achieved through the master's unique glaze technique, and the generous, gentle lines of the moon jar bring tranquility to those who behold it.
•Meaning of community
The moon jar is made by joining two bowls together. Just as different beings come together as one,it symbolizes community and harmony. This work embodies these values. Through this piece, we hope to share the value of tradition and the joy of owning a work of art.
• Succession of craftsmanship
The precious funds raised through this campaign will go beyond simply selling artworks; they will be used to carry on the master's craftsmanship and preserve the legacy of Korean traditional ceramics. This will be an important step in passing down our unique and beautiful culture to the next generation.
