We started this project from a simple question: "Why can't we get the same stir-fried squid taste at home as we do at specialty restaurants?"
Many products on the market are either overly spicy or fail to bring out the true flavor of the ingredients. So, after a long period of researching various ingredients and combinations, we aimed to create a product that allows anyone to easily enjoy restaurant-quality spicy stir-fry at home.
We enhanced the deep umami flavor with Korean garlic and anchovies, and used squid washed five times and rice cakes made from Korean rice to capture the authentic taste of the ingredients. Adding a smoky grilled flavor and Gapjindang's secret sauce, we completed a 'proper meal'.
This Funding will be used for manufacturing and packaging for the first production, as well as for sourcing better ingredients. Your support will mark the beginning of Gapjindang's journey.

I am a maker who has planned and developed various dining, distribution, and HMR products in the food industry for over 15 years. What I always found regrettable while making countless products was that "even when using good ingredients, many products fail to properly deliver them to consumers." So I decided to create my own brand and make food that anyone can trust and enjoy, using good ingredients and honest recipes.
