To begin with, this CPAP hose holder is a simple stand unrelated to any therapeutic effects.
It is not a medical device for diagnostic or treatment purposes.
It is simply a household item that organizes the CPAP hose to allow free movement during sleep.
Please keep this in mind as you review it.
Hello.
Let me introduce our CPAP hose holder.
I use a CPAP machine.
I first encountered a CPAP machine five years ago, had a three-year adaptation period, and have been using it daily for two years.
A CPAP machine is very difficult to get used to.
It feels stifling, bothersome, and inconvenient.
Because you have to wear it every night for the rest of your life, you must endure the discomfort.
If I sleep without using the CPAP machine, I have to spend the next day feeling extremely tired and heavy.
I also gave up, repurchased, gave up again, and repurchased several times, but now I have adapted and use it every day.
The mask can disturb sleep, but the hose is also very bothersome.
When I toss and turn during sleep, the hose always touches my body, and sometimes I even lie on top of it.
Sometimes, it gets wrapped around my neck.
One day, I thought it would be nice if the hose could be held from above and move up and down.
I knew from the beginning of using a CPAP machine that such a product did not exist.
So I decided to make one myself.
I bought several phone holders with joints and reel holders.
Each reel holder has a different pulling force, so I searched for a reel holder with the strength I needed.
So, for the phone stand, I removed the device that holds the phone,
and attached a rubber ring there to hang the reel holder.
I also inserted a rubber ring in the middle of the phone stand and hung a reel holder there.
With two reel holders supporting the hose, the end of the hose moves very naturally.
The reel holder in the middle prevents the hose from sagging and supports the first reel holder.
Simply put, it makes the hose feel weightless.
After using it for several months, I wondered if I could patent this.
I called a patent office to ask about the possibility, and they said it was possible,
so the patent has now been filed. (Registration should be possible in June or July.)
Since my job is related to modeling, I thought it would be nice to have such a product,
so I gradually worked on modeling it, and as soon as I heard it could be patented, I filed for it.

This is a full photo of the product.
There are two joints, and the pillar has two sections that can be extended or shortened.

This is the clamp part. If there is a bed frame or something to secure it to, you can use the clamp to fix it.

This part is located in the middle of the pillar and is used to extend, shorten, or rotate the direction of the pillar.

This is the first joint. If you loosen the fastener, you can adjust the angle.

Here are the rubber ring and reel holder that hold the reel holder in place.
The rubber ring can be moved left and right by the user, and since it is made of rubber, not plastic,
it stays fixed at the position set by the user. The reel holder grips the middle of the hose and prevents sagging.

This is the second joint and connecting part.
This part also allows for extension, retraction, rotation, and angle adjustment.

This is the end part of the hose holder.
Since the reel holder may break during use, it has been designed to be replaceable.
These two reel holders allow the user to move freely during sleep and prevent the hose from tangling.
In the photo, the part that holds the hose is secured in three places using Velcro,
but we will manufacture a clip pin like a hair clip so that the hose can be held and released with the clip pin.
When using a CPAP machine, the hose needs to be cleaned periodically (once a month),
and although using Velcro as shown in the photo is not very inconvenient, we decided on the clip pin to make it even more convenient.

Lastly, this support device is used when sleeping in places where the hose holder cannot be installed,
for example, when there is no suitable place to fix it to the bed frame,
or when sleeping with only a mattress, you can install this support to sleep.
To use it, insert the support device under the mattress and then attach the holder.
It is made of 4mm thick aluminum, so it will not bend or tip over.
Now, I will show you a usage video.
First, here is a video of installing it on a bed frame.
As you can see in the video, installation is done by attaching it to the structure like a phone holder and adjusting the length or angle.
Second, this device is for users who sleep without a bed frame or only with a mattress.
As shown in the video, insert the base plate under the mattress, tighten the clamp of the holder, and adjust the length.
Third, I will demonstrate various actions while lying down using this installed holder.
I performed both large and small actions as shown in the two videos.
While sleeping, I do not make such large movements,
But even with those movements, you can see that the range of motion for the stand and reel holder is very large.
When you use this product, it makes you feel as if the hose does not exist at all.
There is no hose tangling, no foreign sensation from the hose, and no sense of weight from the hose.
Fourth, I will show you an example of installing and using the most widely sold product on the market.
First is the installation.
The advantage of this product is its portability. Compared to my product, it can be folded much smaller.
However, overall it is too weak and flimsy, and it cannot hold the hose properly.
Next, let's try using this installed product.
As you can see in the video, since the hose is just resting on it, the hose does not return to its original position.
In this video as well, you do not make such excessive movements while sleeping, but when you sit and then lie down,
You have to reset the hose, and even with small movements like turning to your side and then lying on your back again, the hose interferes with your sleep.
Also, the stand must always be installed above your head, and the hose cannot be organized.
There is also no function to adjust the length or angle.
Now, I will explain in more detail about the product that is currently the best-selling on the market.

The downside of this product is that it was made too weak in order to make it portable.

As you can see, even a little force makes it tilt.
There are limitations to installation. It always has to be installed right above your head.
And you have to sleep lying straight without tossing and turning.

Also, the ring part that holds the hose does not grip it tightly but only hooks onto it.
If this happens, when the user moves during sleep, the hose will be pulled out according to the user's movement.
The hose length does not return to its original state.
Although there is an elastic band like a rubber band on the ring part of this product, it is also meaningless.
As a result, the user has to wake up and reset the length.
The primary goal of the CPAP hose holder should be practicality rather than portability.
The role of the CPAP hose holder is to ensure there is no inconvenience when using the CPAP.
In fact, my hose holder is far from portable.
Although it has two joints and can be folded, its size is still over 50CM even when folded.
Therefore, I made my product by sacrificing portability to enhance practicality.
After some time, once this product is established, I plan to release a portable mini version using my patented technology.
Although the products on the market and ours have the same purpose, the ideas and designs are completely different.
They cannot be compared.
People who use CPAPs differ in gender, age, location, place, height, personality, and posture.
This product can be easily adjusted to suit each user, so anyone can use it comfortably.
And this is another product I developed.
While developing, I purchased several reel holders, and here is a sound video comparing them with my product.
As shown in the video, a reel holder of that size does not suddenly move during sleep.
So, when used, the sound is even quieter than in the video.
However, to further reduce noise, I installed bearings inside the reel holder to minimize friction noise as much as possible.
Thus, my product has obtained a patent under the name 'Positive Pressure Hose Holder.'
And another patent for the reel holder with bearing insertion.
Currently, two patents have been filed. (Registration expected in June or July).
My product is on a completely different level compared to existing hose holders.
Their ideas and mine are very different.
First, the installationis very simple. It only takes 1 or 2 minutes. The installation is done quickly.
Existing hose holders only prevent the hose from sagging by hanging it, and do not serve any further purpose.
Our hose holder firmly grips the hose.
By using two reel holders, it prevents hose sagging and allows the user to move very freely during sleep.
With joints, it allows left-right rotation, up-down angle adjustment, and height adjustment.
Existing hose holders require assembling the hose from the end into the ring, as it is a ring-insertion type.
Our product uses a head clip or bulk type, making it very convenient to detach the hose from the holder.
When folded, the size is 50~60CM, and when fully extended, it exceeds 2M in length.
Since the hose is 2M, the holder grips the entire hose.
Therefore, there is no need to organize the hose.
The holder was made longer because some users prefer to use it horizontally (further than the holding position of the holder) depending on their needs.
And not everyone who uses the stand sleeps on a bed with a frame.
There is a device that secures it by inserting it under the mattress.
You just need to insert this under the mattress.
And all you have to do is attach the clamp of the hose stand to that device.
Supporters.
Hello. I am Director Kim Younghyun, co-operating Bonghyun Tech Co., Ltd.
I am currently engaged in mold manufacturing.
I am in partnership with my colleague (CEO Kim Bongseon), and he is serving as the CEO.
We started the business together in 2010 and converted to a corporation on December 26, 2018.
There have truly been many events over the past 16 years.
Everyone who knows Bonghyun Tech says the same thing: we do excellent work.
Me? I really do my job well. I take pride in my work, and the word 'half-hearted' does not exist in my vocabulary.
I can't say much about the design since I didn't major in it, but when it comes to functionality, it's certain.
I had many thoughts while developing this product.
How should I make it? Where should I start? What about the money? When should I begin?
Even now, my mind is filled with many thoughts and concerns.
But I have to solve them one by one.
First, I filed for a patent and made a prototype.
Now that I have started Wadiz, I need to prepare for mass production.
There is still so much I don't know. There are so many things I need to overcome, one by one.
Please help me. This is a product I really need, and I came up with the idea.
It would be such a waste to let this great product go unused after even obtaining a patent.
I really want to make it.
This is the order I have in mind.
I plan to raise funds through Wadiz project Funding and use the funds to create a mold for mass production.
To make a product using the mold, I will have to go through several trials and errors.
That way, a truly great product can be made.
Honestly, I was told to set a timeline, but it was very difficult to do so.
Setting a timeline means making a promise, and a promise must be kept.
If it takes longer than promised, it could be a big problem.
Therefore, I plan to have a pre-opening on July 6, and then officially open on August 1, 25 days later.
After completing 60 days of Funding, I will use the collected funds to create the mold and start production.
Although making the mold takes two months, various issues and modifications may arise.
I expect delivery to take about four months at the earliest, or up to six months after Funding ends.
I really like Wadiz.
The reason is that I do not want to falsely exaggerate my product.
There is nothing to exaggerate anyway.
While writing this, I remembered that Wadiz always asks for honest and sincere content.
I can only tell things as they are.
Because I am using it myself. I have been using it for over a year and a half, and it is so good that I have to make it.
It's very good, but if I exaggerate the advertisement, it could actually harm my product.
I need your help.
This CPAP hose holder is a product that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
The downside of this product is that there is little demand for it in Korea.
You have to be someone who uses a CPAP machine, and among those people, only those who really need it will use it.
There are about 300,000 people in Korea who use CPAP machines.
I expect that more than 70% of those 300,000 people use a CPAP hose holder.
Among them, even fewer will choose this product.
I believe it will be a success even if only 50,000 out of those 300,000 people use it.
The reason is that there are 300,000 CPAP users only in Korea,
but worldwide, there are tens or even hundreds of millions. (PCT application planned)
This product is not only aimed at the domestic market.
As someone who has used it for a long time, I made it as comfortable as possible.
It is a truly convenient product to use.
I sincerely ask for your support.
Bonghyun Tech
