I am Choi Jong-seok, CEO of Lameditech, a company specializing in medical and beauty lasers.
Choi Jong-seok, CEO of Lameditech, decided to develop a "needle-free laser blood collector" after seeing his nephew suffer from diabetes. The daily process of pricking fingertips with a needle was not only painful but also left calluses on his fingers. Watching this, the CEO devoted himself to research with the goal of "less painful blood collection and scar-free recovery," and thus began a life-changing challenge.
The laser blood collector developed by Lameditech minimizes pain during blood collection and allows the wound to heal cleanly without leaving marks. It also reduces the risk of secondary infection, enhancing safety. After ten years of research and product advancement, the technology was recognized on the global stage by winning an Innovation Award at CES, the world's largest electronics show, held in Las Vegas in January 2023.
The result of these efforts isHandyRay-Glu. This product integrates blood collection and blood glucose measurement into a single device, making it easy and convenient for anyone to use.
Product Features
Easy to Use: Simply insert a disposable cap and test strip into the device, place your finger, and press the button. After 3 to 5 seconds, the laser is activated to draw blood, which is then absorbed by the test strip. Five seconds later, your blood glucose level is displayed on the screen.
Smart Integration: Measurement results are automatically synced and recorded with the dedicated app. You can easily track blood glucose changes over time, making management much more systematic.
