The beginning of 'Art Feeds You'
Hello, I am a Korean painter (calligrapher) and planner who prepared this project, working in both calligraphy and Korean painting. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the tranquility of calligraphy, which naturally led me to pick up the brush. Recently, I have been creating my own painting style by combining long-learned traditional techniques with a modern sense. My creative work goes beyond simply copying my teacher's paintings and calligraphy; it started from a desire to interpret art in a modern direction and try various approaches.
My first Funding began with the thought, 'What if I put my painting on a magnet? Wouldn't it be nice to have a small art piece like an accessory on a desk in daily life?' The second Funding, opening on the 25th, was prepared to help an artist skilled in calligraphy, wood carving, and seal engraving work without difficulty. And this third Funding marks the beginning of the regular projects of 'Art Feeds You.' It is a project to discover and support artists. Although it cannot be done many times, it will be held regularly to help artists focus on their creative work. As an artist and planner who understands the difficulties of artists, I believe I can carry out the direction of 'Art Feeds You' without wavering.

Who are the artists being supported this time?
Yeoju is a region where many artists from various fields are currently based. Also, based on the strong network of connected artists, information sharing is free and exchanges occur without the closed nature of specific fields. We have found artists who are active in Yeoju. If there are not enough participants, we are considering finding artists through local research and delivering the sponsorship funds to them.
Artist Park In-ha works on both Western painting and Minhwa.
Why is the path of an artist so challenging?
Countless artistswalk the path of creation, but reality is not easy. Material and production costs account for over 50%, exhibition opportunities are limited, and it's not easy to have an environment to focus on creation.Meeting with the public is also not easy.
Even those who love artwant to own a piece directly or support the artist, but hesitate due to the sheer number of works, artists, and high prices. For many reasonsโgallery barriers, artwork prices, lack of informationโart is becoming distant from our daily lives.
- For creative activities, the lack of stable support
- The high entry barrierto owning art pieces
- Between the public and artists, lack of direct communication opportunities
"If art could be closer, wouldn't our lives become a bit richer too?"
