Since 2004, this is the only specialized research institute in Korea dedicated to translating and authenticating the "Imwon Economy Journal." Led by Director Jeong Myeong-hyeon, expert researchers in Korean literature, agriculture, food science, medicine, and forestry work together.
It is not simply a translation of Chinese characters into Korean. The work includes authenticating four major editions, providing commentaries and annotations understandable to modern readers, and verification photos compared with real materials. We have created a 'living classic' that can be used in daily life, not just a classical text for research.
Pungseok Cultural Foundation
A foundation named after Seo Yu-gu's pen name, "Pungseok (楓石)."
A non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This is the only foundation established with the goal of completing all 16 volumes of the Imwon Economy Journal and registering it as a UNESCO Memory of the World.
Reason for Choosing Wadiz
The completion of the "Imwon Economy Journal" is a journey that is not yet finished.

Q. Isn't it difficult to read because of the many Chinese characters?
A. This is a complete modern Korean translation. Even if the original text contains Chinese characters, the translation is provided alongside, and difficult terms are explained with detailed annotations and commentaries. This book is for not only researchers but also general readers interested in history, home, daily life, and traditional culture.
Q. Can I purchase only some of the books?
A. Yes, you can. The seven categories can each be selected as individual Rewards. If you are interested in home and daily life, we recommend the 'Seomyongji' package; if you want to learn about daily life and finance, choose 'Yegyugi'; if you want to focus on taste and stationery, select the 'Iyunji' package. However, gifts and discounts are most beneficial when you choose the full package.
Q. Isn't this book only for researchers and experts?
A. No, it is not. The core principle of this translation is 'not a classic only for researchers, but a practical classic for today's readers.' This book is for anyone who loves history, cultivates their home and taste, or wants to keep the roots of Korean culture close. Q. When will the remaining volumes be released?
A. This Yangji volume (Volume 19) is the second stage of the project to complete all 16 volumes. The first stage, Sikryeok volume, has been completed, and the third stage, Injeji volume, will follow. Participants in this Funding will receive news of the next volume's publication and priority Notify Me benefits.
