The background behind preparing this project.

Hello. We are Mirmir, a parenting brand created and verified by parents.

When raising a child, parents face dozens of choices every day.

Even when choosing a nap blanket, parents always worry.

"Is it really safe?"
"Is it okay for my child to use it?"
"Will it actually be convenient to use?"

As a mother and someone who works with children at a daycare, I have always experienced these concerns up close.

In particular, I felt a lot of regret while watching children's nap times.

It was difficult to manage because washing was inconvenient,
Children who move a lot in their sleep often ended up outside the blanket,
And I had to carefully consider the materials that come into direct contact with children's skin.

Also, there were fewer products than expected that considered the proper support needed for growing children.

So I thought.

"Let's make a nap blanket that both children and parents can be satisfied with."

Rather than waiting for someone else to make it, I decided to create the product myself based on my own parenting experience and the inconveniences I felt at daycare.

That is how Mirmir's first project began.

This project has such a story.

Mirmir wanted to create not just a pretty nap blanket, but one that truly includes the features needed by children and parents.

① It must be easy to wash.

Nap blankets used by children need to be washed more often than you might think.

So the first thing we considered was reducing the burden of care for parents.

We designed it with a detachable structure that allows the topper and pad to be easily separated, making washing and maintenance more convenient. Since it is a product used daily, we designed it to be even more hygienic.

② The fabric that comes into direct contact with children's skin is important.

Young children's skin is much more sensitive than you might think.

Because Mirmir is a product that touches the skin directly, we spent a lot of time choosing the right materials.

We used safe fabrics that consider children's skin so that parents can use it with peace of mind, and made it with a soft texture so children can use it comfortably.

③ A firm topper for growing children.

We believed that children need more than just softness.

Considering the body shape and sleep environment of growing children, we used a topper with cotton filling instead of regular stuffing.

It does not flatten easily and provides firm support for the body, allowing children to rest with a sense of stability.

④ Generous size for children who toss and turn a lot.

When you observe nap time at daycare, you will see that many children toss and turn more than expected.

So we made it in a larger size than existing products, so children can use it more comfortably.

We reflected children's actual sleeping habits so they can rest in a comfortable position without easily slipping out of the blanket.

As a parent raising a child and as someone who observes children in the field, I have always had the same concerns.

"What products do children really need?"

This project started with that question.

The most important things we considered when creating this product were the convenience for parents, comfort for children, and safety.

We improved the inconveniences we experienced during actual use and repeatedly revised the product so that children could use it more comfortably.

This project was prepared with the determination to create a product I could confidently use for my own child.
