This is a ceramic seasoning container set inspired by the king's Ikseongwan and the yangban's gat.

The two seasoning containers of different heights visually represent the hierarchy of the king and yangban in the Joseon Dynasty.

The black glaze evokes the colors of the gat and Ikseongwan, adding a modern ceramic object vibe.

Ikseongwan Soy Sauce Container

With a vertical silhouette inspired by the king's hat, it adds an elegant touch to your table.

The indented design at the back of the Ikseongwan-shaped lid allows you to pour sauce stably even with the lid on.

When using, place your hand on the indented part at the back while the lid is on, so the lid stays secure and stable during use.

Yangban Gat Salt Container

The rounded shape of the gat is captured in a small yet symbolic design.

A tray is included to securely hold the two seasoning containers, making it look like a single object even when not in use.

All three products are made in a black option, preserving the traditional texture while blending naturally with modern dining tables.

01. Design Sketch - The first line inspired by cultural heritage.

All products begin with research into the forms and meanings of actual cultural heritage.
After carefully analyzing proportions, curves, and details, we reinterpret them with new designs so they can be naturally used on modern dining tables.

02. Shaping - Completed by the artisan's touch down to the smallest detail.

The shaped ceramics are refined one by one by the artisan's hands.
Fine seams are smoothed out, and curves and edges are delicately finished to create a more perfected form.

03. Drying - Sufficient time determines the level of completion.

After shaping, the ceramics are slowly dried at a constant temperature and humidity, not rushed. This process evenly removes moisture from inside the ceramics, minimizing cracks and warping, and is a crucial step to maintain a stable form.

04. Bisque Firing - The process that hardens the shape of the ceramics.

Once thoroughly dried, the ceramics undergo their first firing in the kiln. Through this process, the form is stabilized and a foundation is created for the next step, glazing.

05. Glazing - The final preparation that adds color and depth.

Glaze is evenly applied to the surface of the ceramics, completing a subtle color and smooth texture. The glaze further protects the ceramics, helping to maintain their beautiful color for a long time.

06. High-Temperature Firing - Finally, it becomes a true work of art.

After glazing, the ceramics are fired once more in a high-temperature kiln.

Ceramics completed at high temperatures acquire solid durability and deep color, finally becoming a piece that can be used for a long time in daily life.

Cases not considered Reward defects

There may be a difference of about 1-2cm between the actual size and the measured size depending on the measurement method.
As the product includes handmade processes, there may be a size difference of about 1-3mm for each item.
