Q. Are lab-grown sapphires imitation stones or fake?
A. No, they are not!
Compared to natural sapphires,They are 'real gemstones' with 100% identical chemical, physical, and optical composition.
Lab-grown sapphires are the only gemstones, along with natural sapphires, recognized for their value as sapphires.
If you look at the already popular lab-grown diamond market, nowhere are lab diamonds described as fake diamonds. That's because they are real diamonds with the same composition as natural diamonds. Likewise, lab-grown sapphires are real sapphires with the same composition as natural sapphires, but since they are cultivated in a laboratory, we always clarify that they are 'lab-grown' gemstones.
Q. It doesn't react to a diamond tester.
A. Lab sapphires are not diamonds but "sapphires (corundum)," so it is normal that they do not react to standard diamond testers. Diamond testers are designed to measure thermal or electrical conductivity specific to diamonds, so sapphires, which have distinctly different chemical and physical properties, cannot be detected.
Simply put,"Diamond" and "sapphire" are not the same gemstone, so a diamond tester does not react with a diamond signal to sapphire.
This applies not only to lab sapphires but also to natural sapphires, as well as other precious stones such as rubies and emeralds. Therefore, whether a diamond tester reacts cannot be used as a standard to determine the authenticity or quality of sapphire.
Q. What is the difference between synthetic stones and imitation stones?
A. Synthetic stones are 'real gemstones' made in a laboratory with the same structure and composition as natural stones. On the other hand, cubic zirconia, often advertised as 'simulated diamond,' is an imitation stone, meaning it is a fake gemstone.
When purchasing jewelry products, unless you are only looking for the 'lowest price,' please carefully check what specifications of gemstones are set and how the materials are crafted!
Q. What are the advantages and disadvantages of lab-grown sapphire?
A. Lab-grown sapphires have the exact same physical, chemical, and optical properties as natural sapphires, but you can get top-quality gemstones at a much more reasonable price.
Although they are cultivated in a laboratory and do not have the rarity value of being 'mined from nature,' they are produced under strict laboratory control,ensuring high-quality, uniform stones are guaranteed. In addition,they are an ethical and sustainable choice, free from issues such as environmental destruction or labor exploitation.
Q. Is it possible to make a 14k version?
A. Yes, it is possible! During the first Funding, there were many inquiries about 14k from supporters, so we made it available. If you contact us through 'Contact Us,' we will guide you with care.
Q. My Reward arrived defective or damaged. What should I do?
A. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If you contact us through 'Contact the Maker' or our main number, we will promptly assist you with an exchange and reshipment.
However, there are some cases to note, so we would like to inform you of the following. All products are recorded and managed throughout the packaging process to ensure safe delivery to our customers. Therefore, if intentional damage or misuse is confirmed, necessary actions may be taken in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Q. What should I be careful of when wearing sapphire products, and how should I store them?
A. Sapphire is a hard gemstone with a hardness of '9,' but please avoid strong impacts, chemicals, sweat, perfume, and moisture.
After use, avoid direct sunlight and excessive humidity, and it is recommended to wipe and store with a soft cloth. Friction with other metals or gemstones can cause scratches, so individual storage is best.
Q. Can plated products become discolored or peel off?
A. SOLÈNE products are finished with premium 14K gold (10 mils) and rhodium (5 mils) plating, as used in luxury jewelry. However, there is a possibility of discoloration depending on skin type, storage method, and usage environment.
After use, we recommend wiping clean and storing in a zipper bag to minimize exposure to air.
Q. What is your exchange and A/S policy?
A. If a product defect or manufacturing issue is identified, we will promptly assist with exchanges and A/S.
However, all SOLÈNE jewelryis produced after order and payment are completed, and due to the nature of immediate reflection in gemstone setting and production processes, exchanges and refunds due to simple change of mind are not possible.
Additionally, color differences due to shooting environment, monitor or mobile device settings, differences in personal impression of images, or weight errors within ±10% that may occur during production are not considered defects and are not eligible for exchange or refund.
