<We Are Going to Harvard Now>

The background for preparing this project is as follows.

The purpose of this Funding is not simply to raise funds for the first edition of 『The Time of Harvard』, but to enhance the value of book ownership for readers through the highest quality first edition and Harvard University Reward development for branding, and to establish a foundation for subsequent Ivy League university series through the creation of founding supporters.

The funds secured through Funding will be used for high-quality color printing in a 46-size (188x257mm) format, durable hardcover binding for long-term preservation, and improvements in editing and production quality. In addition, starting with 『The Time of Harvard』, these funds will be used to lay the groundwork for the continuous publication of the Ivy League university series, such as Yale and Princeton, until Harvard University's 400th anniversary in 2036.

Wadiz support will be more than just the publication of one copy of 『The Time of Harvard』; it will be the first step in ensuring that the Ivy League university series can consistently reach readers.

『The Time of Harvard』 contains three stories.

1. Walking Harvard

Over the past 20 years, the author has walked Harvard University more than 100 times with over 2,000 students, compiling the stories of four centuries of Harvard that he saw, heard, and experienced into one book. Rather than the perspective of a mere tourist, he conveys the birth and history of Harvard, its leadership and educational philosophy, and the university culture on today's campus through vivid photographs, from the viewpoint of a motivational leader and researcher.

2. Seeing Harvard

The author, who has visited Harvard University in Cambridge, USA, for over 20 years since 2003, has included a wealth of photos and materials taken directly at Harvard so that readers who have not yet visited can experience the campus as if they are walking it themselves. Simply turning the pages of 『The Time of Harvard』 one by one allows you to explore the historic campus buildings, libraries, and dormitories from wherever you are.

3. Writing Harvard

『The Time of Harvard』 is a record completed through more than 20 years of exploration since 2003, five years of research after the COVID-19 pandemic, and repeated verification. Starting from the birth of Harvard University in 1636 to the present day, this systematic account of nearly 400 years of history is intended to serve as a starting point, with the hope that more follow-up research and writing on Harvard will continue and be carried on in Korea.

"Does what I am doing now have meaning in the world?"

Honestly, I have carried this question with me for a long time. I often introduce myself as an INFP, a 'Mediator,' and have always believed that those who walk toward the truth first should reach out to those who have not yet started and guide them into the unknown as navigators.

When I first set foot in Harvard Yard in Cambridge, Boston, USA, in 2002, what I encountered was not just the picturesque campus of a prestigious old American university. That place, layered with over 400 years of Harvard's history, was a site of intellect where the time and people of Harvard, its ideas and faith, and the spirit of each era intersected.

Since that day, my perspective has gone beyond a simple chronology of Harvard, seeking the hidden meanings between vivid records and old legends in Harvard's history.

This book traces the footsteps of countless people who appear throughout Harvard's 400 years, from the founding of Harvard University in 1636 to the present. I am not trying to explain 'the most influential university in the world.' Rather, I wanted to discover the spirit of the times at Harvard and the values and meanings connected to our lives today, and to share the knowledge and reflections I have gained with you all.

I wrote this book to awaken the intellectual curiosity sleeping in your hearts and to ask, together with all of us, regardless of the reader's age or gender, the question: "What path am I standing on right now?"

The reason [Time of Harvard] came to Wadiz

The reason for starting this project on Wadiz is not simply to sell books, but to meet readers before publication, share the value of the book, and complete it together.
