어떤 공간에서도 어울리고, 못 없이도 쉽게 설치할 수 있으며, 바늘까지 직접 제작해 개성을 담은 새로운 벽시계를 소개합니다.

02_리워드 제작 이야기

시계는 누구에게나 있지만, 대부분 기능만을 수행하는 도구로 머물러 있었습니다.
저는 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 머무르면서도, 작은 오브제처럼 공간을 완성하는 시계를 만들고 싶었습니다.
그래서 바늘을 직접 제작해 시계의 중심 요소로 삼았고, 뒷면에는 벽걸이 홀 + 강력 자석을 함께 넣어 못을 박기 어려운 공간에서도 사용할 수 있도록 설계했습니다.
작은 주방, 냉장고, 좁은 벽면, 넓은 거실까지 모두 커버하기 위해 3가지 색상과 사이즈로 제작했습니다.

02_Story Behind the Reward

Although clocks are familiar objects, most remain strictly functional. I wanted to create a clock that quietly enriches everyday spaces—something that feels more like an object of design.
To achieve this, I crafted the hands myself, making them the central visual element. The back includes both a wall-mount hole and a strong magnet, allowing the clock to be used even where nails cannot be used.
To fit various environments—from compact kitchens to wider living rooms—I created three sizes.

1) 제품 사양

• 바디 소재: 금속(스틸)+메이플나무
  CNC로 정밀하게 가공하여 균형 잡힌 원형을 구현하고, 분체도장으로 표면 내구성을 강화했습니다.

• 바늘 소재: 금속(직접 제작)+분체도장
  일반 기성 바늘이 아니라, 디자인 방향에 맞춰 메이커가 직접 제작한 바늘을 사용했습니다.
  바늘의 길이·두께·면적 비율을 조정하여 미니멀한 판면 위에서 가장 아름다운 움직임을 보여주도록 설계했습니다.

2) 마감 방식

• CNC 정밀 가공
  뒤쪽 자석 홈, 벽걸이 구멍, 가장자리 라인을 정확한 위치에 구현합니다.

• 분체 도장(powder coating)
  일반 페인트보다 훨씬 강한 내구성을 가지며, 균일한 컬러 표현이 가능합니다.
  생활 스크래치와 변색에 강해 오래 사용해도 새 제품 같은 느낌을 유지합니다.

• 사포질 + 고급 바니쉬 마감
  얇게 여러 겹으로 도포해 촉감이 부드럽고, 광택 없이 은은한 무광 질감을 구현합니다.
  바니쉬가 표면 보호막 역할을 해 스크래치, 습기, 변색을 억제합니다.

  일반 못·핀·행잉 후크 등으로 안정적으로 설치 가능.

이 시계는 **“공간을 해치지 않으면서 분위기를 완성하는 오브제”**라는 목표로 설계되었습니다.
군더더기 없는 원형 형태와 직접 제작한 바늘, 그리고 만져지는 질감까지 신경 쓴 마감 방식.
못 없이도 붙일 수 있는 자석 구조는 작은 변화만으로도 사용성에 큰 차이를 느끼게 합니다.

실용적이면서도 미니멀한 벽시계입니다.

This clock was designed with the goal of being an object that completes the atmosphere without disrupting the space.
A clean circular form, custom-made hands, and a finishing method that pays attention to tactile texture.
The magnetic structure that allows attachment without nails makes a big difference in usability with just a small change.
Versatile for use in small kitchens, narrow walls, beside desks, and even commercial spaces.
This is a practical yet minimal wall clock.
