Since our founding in 2009, Thinkwide has been discovering products with stories and introducing them to the market.
What we focus on is not completely new inventions.
These are items that have already become deeply embedded in our daily lives, but have been left unchanged for a long time without any development.

The back scratcher was exactly like that.
The bamboo back scratcher I bought on a school trip looked exactly the same as the one my daughter brought back from her school trip.
Even after 40 years, the back scratcher remained unchanged.

It is a product that functions well enough, but no one wants to show it off.
It is one of those items you keep hidden somewhere, and quickly hide if someone sees it.

I wanted to turn the back scratcher into something people would be proud to show off.
So I thought of a lovely cat.

I reimagined a cat's scratching behavior as back scratching,
and after reinterpreting kneading and cat punches as massage, I created Nyangnyang Geulgeul.

Even though it may look like a simple product, I personally met and inquired with more than 15 companies,
studied, and verified everything before completing the product.
At first, after designing hundreds of back scratchers with AI, I planned four types: Tuxedo Cat, Cheese Cat, Mackerel Cat, and Calico Cat.
I planned four types of back scratchers.

I personally visited workshops for wood, acrylic, ceramics, and printing companies,
but the answer was always the same: 'Mass production is not possible.'

In the end, we decided to manufacture three molds for the body, jelly, and pattern, and assemble them together.
We were able to complete NyangNyang Scratch.

It took 14 months to complete a single product.

Why did we go this far?
There is no grand reason.
Since it was our first product, we wanted to make it without any shame.

Even when placed on the desk every day, it looks so lovely, and when it scratches an itch,
I hope this incredibly useful product brings small but certain joy to your daily life as well.

Q. Reason for choosing Wadiz

While general online sales usually only introduce the strengths of a product,
Wadiz is a platform where you can share why and how you developed this product,
and all the efforts that went into it.

NyangNyang Scratch, Thinkwide's first product, after its initial design,
took 14 months until it was introduced on Wadiz.

Because we put extra care into our first product, rather than just saying 'Our product is great~',
we chose Wadiz because we wanted to share the 14-month journey with our supporters.

Q. Future plans for the Funding amount

The Funding amount will be used to further develop NyangNyang Scratch and create new designs.
We are currently researching manufacturing methods for Mackerel Cat and Calico Cat, which are in the planning stage,
and we also plan to use it to expand channels to introduce NyangNyang Scratch to more people.

After successfully completing the Wadiz Funding, we plan to launch through Japan's Makuake and Taiwan's ZecZec Funding.
We plan to challenge the overseas market and sell through various online and offline channels.

Our goal is for NyangNyang Scratch to become a product you can find anywhere in daily life, beyond just online.
That is our next goal.

FAQ

Q1. I want strong stimulation like a regular back scratcher. Isn't it too blunt?

A. The sharp claw shape of a cat has been structurally implemented,
so when you scratch your back, the four claws will effectively relieve the itch.

Q2. What if the silicone with hardness 20 is too soft and tears easily?

A. Silicone with hardness 20 has a soft and elastic feel, similar to a baby bottle nipple.
It feels soft to the touch, but is made from high-quality silicone with excellent durability,
so it will not easily tear or deform with everyday use such as scratching your back. You can use it with confidence.
However, please be careful as it may be damaged by sharp objects such as knives or scissors.

Q3. Since it's made of silicone, doesn't it attract dust easily?

A. Due to the nature of silicone, fine dust may stick to it.
Simply wiping it with a wet tissue will keep it clean and looking like new.

Q4. I want to use it with my family. Can it be managed hygienically? Is it okay to disinfect it?

A. The claw part of 'NyangNyang Geulgeul' is made of non-toxic ABS material.
If sweat or oil gets on it, you can wipe it with an antibacterial tissue.
However, if you want more thorough hygiene, we recommend one 'NyangNyang Geulgeul' per person.

Q5. I have pets at home. Is it safe for animals to touch?

A. We use ABS and silicone materials that are harmless to both humans and animals.
However, if a pet mistakes it for real meat or a toy and bites it hard with its teeth,
There is a risk of the product breaking or swallowing pieces, so please store it out of reach of pets.
Since it is for human use, it is not recommended to use it directly on pets.

Q6. Can I leave it in the car?

A. Due to the characteristics of ABS plastic, if left for a long time in high temperatures such as inside a car during summer,
It may become warped or bent.
Also, in subzero temperatures, the material may become brittle and break,
So please store and use it at room temperature as much as possible.
