An ordinary dining table,

The moment it becomes a work of art.

Today's Flower Place,

A cup of tea at the end of a busy day,

A piece of dessert enjoyed alone.

It may seem trivial, but sometimes you want to treat yourself a little more in those moments.

But when you look around the table, it's hard to find a coaster you really like.

The pretty ones are too delicate for water or too precious to use,

And the ones suitable for daily use lack style.

It's hard to recreate that neat café vibe at home.

Flower Place was created to fill that very spot.

Each glass coaster is kiln-fired, so the colors don't fade with water, and they look beautiful every day, no matter how often you use them.

Even a simple convenience store yakgwa or an ordinary instant coffee becomes a work of art when placed on this.

It's not about something grand, but about making your daily cup of tea a little more special.

Today's Flower Place will help you create that small ritual.

No two are alike in the world—

Handcrafted by fire

Today's Flower Place is a handcrafted glass coaster, shaped one by one by hand. When colored glass powder is mixed and placed in the kiln, the colors melt and spread in the high heat, blooming like flowers. It's not painted with a brush or printed, but made by melting colored glass in fire, so thisSoft, watercolor-like blending cannot be imitated by any other method.

And even the artist cannot fully control this final blending.. This is because how the colors spread and blend inside the kiln is up to the fire. When the artist finishes the sketch, the final brushstroke is done by the fire.. That is why, even when firing the same camellia, the blurring and shading are subtly different each time.

Unlike mass-produced items where the first and the thousandth are identical, the piece you receive is truly one of a kind. It is a flower seat that cannot be recreated, made just for you.

With just one, anywhere on your table—

Versatility of 8.5cm

Today's flower seat is a small square glass coaster, 8.5cm on each side and about 3mm thick. Its compact size allows it to move freely around the table.

Place it under a teacup or coffee cup as a coaster, use it as a mini plate for a macaron, yakgwa, or a piece of chocolate, as a tray for rings or earrings, or as a base for candles or diffusers.

Its size is not limited to a single use, so even with just one, you can keep it nearby for tea time, when guests visit, or even on your vanity.

This is how it is made with care.

01. Shaping the mold — Making a plaster mold

First, a mold is shaped from plaster and allowed to harden firmly.

A sketch of the flower that will bloom is drawn onto this mold.

This is the process of creating the invisible foundation from which every flower begins.

02. Creating color — Mixing glass powder

To achieve the desired hue, color powder is added to glass powder and mixed thoroughly by hand.

The deep red of camellia, the warm orange of trumpet creeper, the clear yellow of forsythia.

Powder is added again and again until the color in mind is achieved.

03. Drawing Flowers — Glass Powder Drawing

A handful of colored glass powder is taken and used to draw flowers on the mold.

Since the picture is drawn not with a brush but with colored glass powder, this is the most delicate moment, relying entirely on the artist's fingertips.

04. Entrusting to Fire — 20 Hours of Firing

The mold with the drawing is placed in the kiln, and we wait a full twenty hours.

In the intense heat, the glass powder slowly melts and fuses together, and finally, the flower blooms.

How the colors spread depends on the fire, so even the same flower is born slightly differently each time.

05. Finishing by Hand — Polishing

The edges of the fired glass are carefully polished to smooth the texture that touches the hand.

In this way, a one-of-a-kind flower piece is completed.

In an era overflowing with mass-produced goods,

We believe in the value of making things slowly on purpose.

The flowers of Kkotjari are not painted with a brush, but drawn by fire. When colored glass powder is mixed and placed in the kiln, the colors melt and spread at high temperatures, and the flowers bloom. This soft, cloudy spreading cannot be imitated by any printing or painting. It is a color that can only be achieved by melting glass. And because it has passed through fire, the color does not peel or fade.

Even I cannot know 100% how the colors will spread inside the kiln. Since the fire makes the final brushstroke, even the same camellia will have slightly different spreads and shades each time. That is why the piece you receive will be the only one of its kind in the world.

I want to bring that one-of-a-kind piece, which mass production cannot offer, to your table.

Today's flower coasters are not mass-produced by machines, but are handcrafted one by one and kiln-fired.Therefore, they have natural characteristics that come from the handmade process.. The following details are not defects of the product, but unique features found only in handmade glass. We hope you understand this in advance.

01. Backside curves and grain

The back of the glass coaster is not perfectly smooth, and subtle curves and grain remain from the handcrafting process. This is proof that each piece was made by hand and is not a defect.

02. Differences in thickness and edge polishing

/ The average thickness of the glass coaster is about 3mm, but it may vary slightly in different areas. Due to the nature of hand-layering glass powder and firing, the thickness is not perfectly uniform, and this is also a natural characteristic of handmade products.

/ Every edge is polished and finished by the artist by hand. In this process, the degree of polishing and the finish may vary slightly from piece to piece.

/ In addition, small bubbles or fine glass crystal patterns may naturally appear during the kiln-firing process. This occurs as the glass fuses under the heat of the fire, and actually adds a deeper character unique to hand-fired glass.

All these differences,

This is proof that the flower coaster you receive is truly one of a kind in the world.

WHY WADIZ

The time spent in front of glass has brought me to this point.

Hello. I am Eunseong Kim, a glass artist who works with colored glass.

Glass is a difficult material to handle. It reacts differently depending on the temperature of the fire and the humidity of the day, and no one knows what color will come out until the kiln is opened. At first, I found this unpredictability frustrating, but at some point, I began to enjoy it. Because things don't always go as I wish, I get to encounter new colors every time. For me, working with glass brings that kind of excitement.

I spent countless hours sitting in front of glass, mixing colors, drawing flowers with powder, and repeating the process of waiting twenty hours. That is how this flower coaster was created. I loved the moment when an ordinary dining table became a little more special.

I wanted to share this small change with others.

However, since each piece is handcrafted one by one, the number of people I could reach was always limited. I wanted to bring this flower coaster to more dining tables, and for that, I needed a place where I could prepare everything with care at once. That is why I chose Wadiz.

I believed that within the space of Wadiz, I could meet people who would take a deep interest in my work. It is not a place for quick buying and selling, but a place where people listen to the creator's story and are willing to wait. I believed this was the best place for my time-consuming handmade work to meet supporters who are willing to wait.

If today's flower coaster can make your daily cup of tea a little more special at your table, there would be nothing more joyful for me as an artist.
